(Hope no one minds me role playing a bit of Fawnstep in her den. ^^)
The sun was setting over the lake as Fawnstep was sorting through some herbs in her den, taking stock and making sure all the berries and leaves were fresh. She rolled a couple of wrinkled berries away from the others to throw out , reminding herself to collect some more in the morning.
She picked up a famliar smell suddenly, even with her nose deep in herbs. It was the sweet smell of her sister, Thunderwolf, now in ShadowClan. She let the smell waft around her for a moment before jerking away with a snarl. Was StarClan trying to get her to make up with her sister?! Well, that wasn't going to happen!
I have no sister! she thought savagely. My sister is dead. She died the day she fell in love with that rouge in ShadowClan!

Lightningclaw poked his large head into the Medicen Cat den,letting the warm sunlight filtter in.He limped in, a front paw raised in the air, large, nasty look thorn was sitcking out of the soft pad."Hello Fawnstep, um..i need a little help here."He smiled and noded down to the limp raised paw."I Was hunting and I got the scent of a mouse, and when i was running after it, i did'nt noticed the root sticking out infront of me." He looked scournfully at the thorn on his paw And winced."Can you help?" He asked, Draging his yellow eye back to Fawnstep.

Jerking herself out of her thoughts, Fawnstep turned around and examined the large thorn stuck in Lightningclaw's pad. She gave it a careful sniff, then pointed her nose toward a moss nest near the edge of the den. "Lie down there for a moment." She mewed softly. "Give me a moment to get some supplies and I'll pull that thorn right out."
Fawnstep hurried back into her herb storage and gathered together a couple of marigold leaves. Then she rushed back to Lightningclaw. "This might hurt a little, but I need you to stay still." Fawnstep told him. She gripped the end of the thorn and gave a sharp tug. It came out easily, and Fawnstep dropped it towards the barrier of her clearing and licked Lightningclaw's pad.
"Better?" She purred, bending to chew up some marigold leaves into a pulp. "Keep licking it to get the blood to stop."

Lightningclaw dipped his broad head down to lick away at the blood that was oozing from the small cut in his black pad.The Slaty-Sweet Taste washed over his pink tounge as he watch Fawnstep chew up the strong-smelling herbs into the pulp for the cut."Thank you, Fawnstep."He purred as he curlled his tail around himself, comfy in the soft moss of the nest.The sound of the rain falling onto Fawnstep's den.She eyelid sagged down as the rythmic licks of his toung against his rough pads matched passe with the falling rain.He looked down at the Thorn on the corner."Nasty looking thing isn't it?"

"Indeed." Fawnstep mumbled around the herbs. She gently licked some of the poultice into Lightningclaw's cut. "Where were you, anyway, to pick up such a big thorn?" She asked as she finished and started to bandage his paw in cobwebs. "I'm sure you won't want to be going near that thorn bush again." Fawnstep let out a mrrw of laughter.
She wrapped the last of the cobweb around his paw and gave a little nod. "There. You should stay off that paw for today, but you'l be fine by tomorrow." She told him. Then she flicked him playfully with her tail. "Silly warriors."

Rainpaw padded out of the den, her small jaws clamped on a leaf wrap. "Can I help?" Rainpaw asked her new mentor.

"Is everything alright in here?" meowed Rainbowstar as she crept into the Medicine cat's den. She looked around, there were many cats here, Rainpaw, Fawnstep and Lightningclaw. They seemed to be okay.

The small she-cat looked up at her leader, "We're fine Rainbowstar." Rainpaw looked at her mentor, "Fawnstep, when do we go to the Moonpool?"
