"I agree, " meowed Moonwind, " Shadowclan doesn't need the trouble now, but I can't help wondering if they had to do with the kit..." She and Cometstar headed back to the camp. She let out a sigh as she padded once again over to the Warriors den for sleep.
While she slept, she dreamt. However this time there was no former leader. This time, the kit was there, all alone with Moonwind. Moonwind walked towards it, it's eyes flashing. As she came closer, something moved behind the kit, another cat. And another. And another, until there were so many cats moonwind was terrified. "ROGUES!" her head pounded, she raced away, but there was no escape. They pounced. Moonwind shot up in the darkness. A sign from Starclan? Maybe......

Cometstar watched Moonwind as she slept. She didn't seem able to sleep well, and he wanted to stay up and see if she was developing a fever or something. ShadowClan didn't have a medicen cat right now, which weakened them greatly. If Moonwind were to come down with whitecough or worse, greencough, Cometstar would be powerless to help her. But for now, she seemed healthy. Only restless.
When she woke up with a cry of 'ROUGES!' Cometstar carefully picked his way around the sleeping warriors to Moonwind. "Moonwind," He asked quietly so as not to disturb the other cats. "Do you have dreams of StarClan?"

"I am not sure" purred Moonwind. "I just had a nightmare.' Moonwind hoped she had not disturbed anyone else while they slept. Only Cometstar was awakened by her scream. " It's just,, I can't help wondering if the new kit has some relation with rogues. " she replied. "Like yesteray, " she said to Cometstar, "why were those rogues on our territory." They never have been before." Moonwind was so confused she didn't know what to think.

Lifting his paw to his muzzle, Cometstar tugged at one of his claws thoughtfully. "It's a possibility that Ghostkit has something to do with the rouges." He mused. "After all, this mother was a rouge. But he's part of ShadowClan now. His mother left him in our care." Cometstar peered out through the branches of the Warrior's den. It was still dark outside, and not one cat had yet to stirr. The dawn patrol would not leave for a while. The camp seemed peaceful.
And yet Cometstar could not help but picture the clearing swarming with rouges, yowling and clawing at him and his warriors. A shiver went down his spine.

Moonwind stalked out of the camp that morning to hunt. "I wonder what I'll find this time, " she thought. Last time she found rogues, before that, a mother rogue, and before that a kit! She stalked near the Twoleg fence. " Nothing strange today, " she purred happily. She caught a squirrel before going back to camp. Food was scarce because of it almost being Leaf-fall, so it would have to do.
After eating, she went to her friends. She shared tounges with them and then noticed Gostkit being ledout of the den by his foster mother. She smiled happily, "At least he is warming up to the othet cats." she thought gladly.

Thunderwolf nudged Ghostkit forward gently. The little kit stumbled and blinked in the sunlight as it warmed his black fur. Strippedkit bounded out after his mother and foster brother, and Crystalkit stalked out last. She looked around skeptically before slipping back into the nursery, while Strippedkit began to chase his tail excitedly.
When Thunderwolf turned her back to calm Strippedkit down, Ghostkit made his way shakily over to where Moonwind was with her friend. He thingyed his head to one side and stared at her with big round eyes. "Are you Moonwin'?" He mewed, slurring his words slightly with his kit accent.

"Yes," she purred happily, " I am." She was surprized that the kit had spoken, but it seemed very bright and curious. Crystalkit still seemed to not like Ghostkit still, but Ghostkit's foster brother did. " Thunderwolf, " she purred, and then lowered her voice, " Cometstar and I found rogues sniffing around near our territory" She continued when Ghostkit looked in the other direction. "They might have to do with you- know - who." She flicked her tail at Ghostkit, who was complet;y unaware.

Thunderwolf flicked her ears worriedly. Looking around to see if anyone was listening first, she replied: "Yes, Cometstar told me about them. He doesn't seem to think they have to do with Ghostkit, but...You never know."
As she spoked, Strippedkit and Ghostkit started to tussle playfully. They rolled over and over, squealing and batting at each other with sheathed paws. Crystalkit looked on from right outside the nursery, a bored expression. The two kits rolled towards her and Ghostkit bumped into her. The white kit jumped back with an angry hiss. "Stay away from me, kittypet!" Crystalkit snarled and whipped around, back into the nursery.

Moonwind's heart sank. If only there was something she could say to the kit. Somewhere inside of her she knew all kittypets were not bad. She walked into the nursery and spotted the kit on the floor. " Crystalkit, " she purred" not all kittypets are bad, he doesn't even know he is one." And she strode outside into the light.
Later on, Moonwind ate her squirrel with her friends. She thought about what Crystalkit had said to Ghostkit, she realized he might not belong after all.
